Company history

Since we started in business in 1979, we have grown and invested a variety of cutting equipment, from the simplest of bandknives to the most up-to-date CNC contour cutters. With our long-serving and dedicated workforce, our aim is for total customer satisfaction, and this has enabled us to ensure our service level and cost structure is competitive.

In 2008 we opened a second conversion unit at Chorley, in Lancashire.

As our customer needs have changed over time, and foam manufacturing technology has evolved, we have always worked closely with the industry’s major foam manufacturers to ensure our customers have access to a comprehensive range of materials.

Airofreem now have our largest range of materials, including ‘memory’ foam, furniture foams, packaging and industrial grades, and most recently ‘eco-friendly’ foams where some of the petrochemical is replaced by renewable content such as castor oil or soya oil.
